APA 9 Ball is fun, fast paced, fair and competitive!! Normally 9 Ball team matches go by faster than 8 ball team matches.

Join the fun in an existing division, grab a few more teams to start a new division or convert your current night to Double Jeopardy (Play both 8 & 9 Ball team matches in the same night at the same time on two different tables)

APA 9 Ball APA "Amateur" 9-Ball is played like Professional 9-Ball...but scored like Straight Pool.

In APA, 9-Ball is scored by points. This allows players just starting out to help their team earn points. All the balls have a point value of one point each, except the 9 Ball is worth two points. This makes each rack worth a total of 10 points. Every week in a team match 100 points are up for grabs (20 points per match). Players in each match try to grab as many of those 20 points as possible. Even in a loss, players earn points for their team toward the total team score.

As with 8-Ball, there is a 23-skill level max of the 5 players who play each night and no more than two senior skill level (SL 6+) can play in a team match.

Players compete to score points in each rack until they reach their assigned number of total points based on skill level. APA 9-Ball has a wider range of skill levels from 1 - 9. A lower ranked player would need to pocket fewer balls than a more skilled opponent. 9 Ball played by the rack would favor a more skilled player, while APA's 9 Ball points system helps lower skill level players have just as good a chance to win as any other player.

EVERY BALL COUNTS!
